Paul Couvrette, one of Canada’s most versatile photographers, makes his home in Ottawa, Ontario, but his assignments and lectures take him worldwide. Couvrette Studio operates from its own 3000-square-foot building in Centretown Ottawa, where a wide range of commercial and portrait assignments are carried out. Among his many achievements, Paul is the only living photographer to have produced official portraits of every Prime Minister from Trudeau to Harper. Couvrette is Time Magazine’s photographer of choice in the region and has photographed numerous Time Person of the Year spreads.

His list of awards includes Canadian Photographer of the Year, Master of Photographic Arts, Master of Journalism and he is a three-time winner of Ontario Photographer of the Year.  His work has appeared in Vogue, InStyle, Architectural Digest, and Maclean’s.  Paul has won over 100 awards in categories as diverse as child portraiture and industrial photography.

No stranger to the camera itself, Couvrette has done stints as national spokesperson for Agfa, introducing digital photography to consumers in 2000, and has been asked to speak on his work at the PPOC National convention, which will be held next spring in London. Paul has recently been selected as one of Ottawa’s Top Fifty Citizens by Ottawa Life magazine. Couvrette Studio’s Web portal is at http://www.couvrette-photography.on.ca/.
