No destination wedding shots, no hotel brochure shooting…just some snaps from our family vacation in Jamaica last week…enjoy it Ottawa..snow is coming, yet again.
Welcome to my new Fine Art Photography site….Great for decorating that new home, corporate office or for a unique gift.
Event photography is more than just grip and grin these days. Clients want to see the personalities but also the venue and the details.
Getting those key shots and delivering the job on time is what separates a pro from an amateur. We have been shooting events, conventions and trade shows for…believe it or not…40 years.
Welcome to a swish Ottawa Embassy party These are a few selections from the National Day of the United Arab Emirates…and yes, those are really Arab Princes. We love these sorts of assignments because they allow us to see a world few people ever experience. Dealing with cultural and political diversity reminds me of what a great country we live in…
Sometimes the craft of commercial photography comes close to being art….
This studio shoot was done for a company that makes playground equipment. We shoot a wide range of products from still life shots in the studio to food and industrial facilities onsite. I have traveled across Canada and gone 2KM underground to shoot commercial photography for a wide range of corporations, ad agencies and government departments. I like the problem solving aspect of commercial work and it feels good to come up with visuals that help my clients sell their products and services.
When it needs to be done right the first time….on time… on budget…give us a call!
We spent a fun afternoon with Ottawa entertainment legend Johnny Vegas recently. There are no formulas at Couvrette Studio…and this was a chance to get pretty wild with lighting and poses. Johnny was in fine form and we sure had a party. Must catch him onstage if you have not had the chance…
This is a feature spread in Canada`s top wedding magazine, Wedding Dreams. Wedding Dreams Magazine is on sale at select newsstands including Chapters Bookstores across Canada. The shoot was done in my Gladstone Street studio.
I really enjoy bringing something different to the wedding scene and this was my homage to the great Hollywood photographers of the 40`s
Hopefully some of Ottawa`s brides will pick up on the idea and come in for a studio session that truly shows off that expensive investment in style that all too often is not captured properly on the day.
Ladies…if you are comparing wedding photographers…make certain that your choice includes someone who can capture that dress in all its color and detail. I am amazed when I see images of dresses
that somehow have five different color casts and no details in the whites. With all the attention you devoted to choosing the dress, make sure your photog is talented enough to record it properly.
Hot off the presses, Wedding Dreams, Canada`s National Wedding mag is featuring my work on the cover and in a full inside fashion spread. Get you complimentary copy this weekend at the Bridal Fair.
